Surrey Association of Sustainable Communities established in 2002,

is an umbrella organization for community based associations

and groups in Surrey.

Surrey ASC:

• provides opportunities for information sharing and education;
• promotes coordination of the groups;
• identifies common issues and takes appropriate action to resolve them, following consultation with member groups;
• promotes community development and community building, including acting as a resource to emerging groups;
• promotes "sustainability" principles and measures, and;
• encourages consultation between citizens and government.
